Bonaparte took an interest in performing Magic at the age of 6 years—mostly for his family and close friends. Soon, he found himself performing for larger audiences—such as his own Blue & Gold Scout Banquet.  Over the years, his skill sets developed and the rest is history. Unable to resist the Magic Bug, Bonaparte turned Pro!

Like many magicians, Bonaparte first established himself as a leading birthday party magician and then moved on to expand the type of programs he had to offer.

Although birthday party entertainment is a delight to perform, Bonaparte knew that he would enjoy bringing his exceptional children’s magician show to such venues as schools, libraries, corporate events, PTO events and PTO fundraisers as well.

Bonaparte had attended Harvard University in his college years, so when he returned to Boston, he was on familiar turf. His reputation for excellence spread quickly—even among his peers. He is widely respected by not only his fast growing audience-- but by other Boston magicians as well. Bonaparte maintains wonderful relationships with these fellow birthday entertainers—and actively refers them to cover engagements for him when he is unavailable.

The relationship is reciprocal. Bonaparte’s enjoys the fact that some of his biggest competitors are the individuals that he considers his closest friends. He believes that having an opportunity to be involved with so many talented Boston Magicians is what keeps his mind creative and enriched.

Performing Close-Up Magic at numerous venues from week to week quickly enhances your skill sets and expands your repertoire. The regular customers returned not only for the good food and ambience—but also to see what new and exciting tricks this performer had up his sleeves. While performing at these regular engagements, it gave other Massachusetts magicians an opportunity to visit Bonaparte to see him in action!

For years, Bonaparte has acted as a mentor to other magicians, clowns, etc. helping when he can by sharing what knowledge or wisdom that he believes may be of value. As a mentor to these young and aspiring Boston area magicians, Bonaparte knew that it was important to equip his students with ‘real world’ knowledge--so he referred them to one kids birthday party after another.

Bonaparte instructed them, “You may not ultimately plan to stay with kids birthday parties as an active part of your career—but there is no better training ground for learning basic magic and the business of magical entertainment.”

This thoroughly dedicated performer also spreads the ‘Magic Bug’ by being the most popular Massachusetts Magician to teach Magic Workshops at Libraries and After School programs.

When not dazzling his audience, Bonaparte found the time to create his own entertainment agency—Magic & More Productions.
